Giant Leap Sports are pleased to announce a brand New Junior Volleyball Club in Belfast called the Belfast Wolves. The name comes from the heritage of the area of East Belfast, with the pivotal role of the Harland and Wolff shipyards played in the local community. This can be seen in the clubs initial logo which features the Cranes that can be seen from our new home at Campbell College. The Club’s first training night starts on Wednesday 5th May 2021.
The Club will be based at Campbell College which has had a thriving school volleyball club over the last 2 decades. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of their teacher Alan Templeton. Mr Templeton has won all there is to win in Schools Volleyball, producing a number of NI Internationals in the process.
Giant Leap Sports Founder Callum Grieve said,
This is a fantastic opportunity for the boys and wider surrounding community. We feel that this club is a huge opportunity to grow the sport of volleyball within the Greater Belfast area with the aim to ultimately help grow to game of the Volleyball.
The athletes themselves will benefit from a greater amount of training and matches that will enhance their development as volleyball players.
Callum Grieve, Giant Leap Sports
